Are you a do it yourselfer who wants
to do their own electrical? Is it a small renovation or a new home?
Phase One Consulting Services is now offering a limited
inspection/consultation process, starting at $99.00 (less if it is a
tiny project), to help you accomplish your goal. As a past
Electrical Safety Inspector I know how the system works, what is
required by you and how to go about installing a safe installation.
My process is based on the Homeowner Electrical courses I developed
and instructed at Malaspina University/College (now VIU) over a
number of years. The difference is I will go to your home, or work
site, which enables me to give you the best results and up to date
information. It is all subject to the current condition of any
pre-existing structure and/or the scope of your project. Have you
already started your project? Once again I would do an on site
survey that would enable me to educate you on what is required in
order to pass an inspection. Be aware that if you have a
Homeowners Permit it allows you a limited number of inspections.
Deficiencies that require a
re-inspection from the Inspector are at $135.00 each, as well as
having to come back to do the re-inspection and holding up your
project.
I could eliminate that cost and frustration
up front (See testimonial
below).
Just for the record, any electrical work done without due process of
the B.C. Electrical Regulations and a perceived electrical incident
occurs, it could put your coverage at risk of refusal by your
insurance company.
Payment is
due when checklist is presented on site and is by cheque or cash
only
REFERRAL
February 7,
2010
To whom it
concerns,
Recently we
embarked on the self-build project of constructing our new home.
Having moved here from another province we found codes and certain
regulations to be different when it came to doing the electrical
portion of our construction.
In doing
this current electrical project on our home we came across
situations that were not clearly identified, or clearly explained,
in the simplified code book and therefore we required some
assistance. We did not want to hire an electrician, however we
wanted to move forward, hence we engaged the services of Ken Johnson
of Phase One Consulting.
Ken was
immediately there to meet with us and provide constructive solutions
to all our issues. He was quick, courteous and always clearly
explained what was required. His professionalism and expertise
offered through his consulting services were clearly evident and
very much appreciated.
We
would certainly engage his services on future electrical projects –
big or small and highly recommend him for any electrical consulting
services that may be required.
Yours truly, Lyle and Marie Cedar of Nanoose Bay, B.C.
